| MOBILE HOME
DECAL |
| As per Florida Statutes 320.0815 and
320.07 mobile homes are required to have a registration decal
affixed to the lower left-hand corner of the window closest to the
street or road providing access to such residence. Failure to comply
may result in a traffic citation that could require an appearance in
court (F.S.320.58). NOTE: VIOLATION CARRIES A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF
SIXTY (60) DAYS SENTENCE AND/OR FINE, PLUS COURT COSTS (F.S.
320.57). |
| MOBILE HOMES ON RENTAL
LOTS |
- You are required to have an annual mobile home (MH) decal for
the registration period of January 1st through December 31st. You
may renew your mobile home decal up to three (3) months in
advance. The registration taxes are in lieu of ad valorem taxes.
The expiration date for mobile home decals is December 31st. If
renewed after January 10th, a penalty will be applied.
- Improvements such as screen rooms, awnings, sheds, air
conditioners, carports, and utility rooms are taxed on the
Tangible Personal Property Tax Roll, and a tax bill will be mailed
to you each year in November. This is a separate tax from the
mobile home decal.
- Mobile Home (MH) decals cannot be transferred from one mobile
home to another. Upon sale, trade, transfer or other disposition
of a mobile home, the owner must remove the decal and may exchange
it for another decal to be applied to a replacement mobile home.

| MOBILE HOME TITLES |
| Mobile homes, whether on rental lots or
affixed to your land, are required to have motor vehicle titles.
Double-wide and triple-wide mobile homes which are constructed as
two or three separate units are required to have separate decals and
titles. |
| No application for a Florida certificate
of title may be accepted unless a current mobile home decal has been
assigned to the mobile home and shown on the application.
